Autumn is coming....

So we've had an incredible summer, we actually got sun this year!! But today its chilly, leaves are falling and its been raining plenty. I don't like to mention it but.......This can only mean that winter will be with us soon too!!

Not only is time to get the woolly jumpers out but its now to time to step up your skincare regime too. Winter does not treat our skin kindly. We go from warm central heated homes, into the cold, back into the warm again and continue to do this all day. This leaves our skin dry and sore.

So what can you do to help your skin?

- Drink plenty, staying hydrated will help your skin to stay hydrated too. What we put into our body shows in our skin.

- Use a gentle creamy cleanser, our skin is already being battered by the weather so we want to make sure that we use something kind and gentle and we want to help it to stay hydrated. I personally like Liz Earl Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser

- Use a moisturiser such as the Ordinary natural moisturising factors + HA, this product contains multiple amino acids, fatty acids, triglycerides, ceramides, glycerin, hyaluronic acid and many other compounds that are naturally present in the skin. All of these keep the outer layer of the skin protected and well-hydrated.

- Keep your lips moisturised, there is nothing worse than dry chapped lips so its really important to apply a lip balm regularly. Some of my favourites are Burt’s Bees Ultra Conditioning Lip Balm, Eucerin Dry Skin Intensive Lip Balm and Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Lip Protectant (which also comes in a range of colours).

These are just a few of my favourites let me know what your winter regime is below!
